The country is part of the so-called COTE DE NOIRS, represented, as well as Ambonnay, even from another village Grand Cru Bouzy. The company is run by the family for over three generations. Uncle Andrew was one of the founding fathers of the cooperative of growers Ambonnay in 1960, but everyone kept their production in their possessions. In 1982, his uncle and his mother had the intuition to converge all production at the cooperative, so that the COOP were sole interface to any purchaser of the grapes produced in the area. The company boasts the initials R.M. which appears both on the capsule that bottles.
The land is rich in chalk that gives complexity to the wines produced, which rest on the lees for several months in the cellars made of the same material, the production is about 20,000 bottles.
The crops are very controlled; before the harvesting period " les syndicats des négociants et des vignerons", gather to find an agreement for the maximum to be collected and the price at Kilo grapes to sell.
Harvesting is done by hand only and is joined to a biodynamic production .
